About SNERIC
Special Needs Education Research and Innovation Centre (SNERIC) is
dedicated to advancing knowledge and best practices
in the field of special needs education. Our Centre serves as a hub for researchers,
educators, parents, and
professionals working with children with special needs in Uganda.
What we do
The Special Needs Education Research and Innovation Centre offers a bundle of products and services aimed at supporting special needs education.
Research and Innovation
Advancing knowledge in special needs education through
innovative research and evidence-based solutions to improve
inclusive education and rehabilitation services.
Early Identification and intervention
Ensuring early identification of disabilities in infants and children so that we can assist with their rehabilitation,
building capacities of their family members and using cost-effective technologies to support their needs.
Training & Professional Development
Offering a range of training and professional development programs to empower and inspire parents, educators and other
professionals who work with children/individuals with special needs.
Parents and Community Outreach
SNERIC is committed to building strong families and supportive community that advocates for the rights and needs of
children/individuals with special needs.
